Appointments & Referrals

To make an appointment for a sick child, call the office at 704-403-7740 (Kannapolis) or 704-439-3700 (Davidson). To make an appointment for a well check-up please visit our Online Appointment Request form, or please call as much in advance as possible. That way we are able to schedule a time for your child that is convenient for you and for us. For more urgent situations, we do our best to schedule your child for that day. Please check our office hours for our two locations. The doctors do their best to stay on schedule; however, emergencies arise which may cause you to wait. Please be patient with us, knowing that if you had an emergency, we would put you first.

Routine or Follow-Up Visit
Always bring your insurance cards, including Medicaid cards and all prescription medications. You can also request a Well Child Check appointment using our Online Appointment Request form.

First Visit
Each new patient is asked to complete a health history form before their first visit to Suburban Pediatrics. This will help our medical staff make a prompt and accurate assessment during the first visit. Please bring your current insurance cards, including Medicaid cards, current immunization records and any current prescription bottles. Please arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled appointment to complete registration and other paperwork, or print and complete the online forms before your arrival.

Cancellation Policy
Please call to cancel any appointments you will be unable to keep at least 48 hours in advance so we may offer these appointments to other patients in need of treatment. There is a $25 charge for first-time patient appointments not cancelled 48 hours in advance, payable prior to re-scheduling a first-time appointment.

After Hours Care
The Doctors are always available for emergency care, but we ask that you adhere to our policy. Please call before going to the emergency room. We will arrange to meet you if the situation requires an after hours visit. It is much more economical for your child to be seen in the office.
Call the Kannapolis office number at 704- 403-7740. If the office is closed, call 1-866-705-4419 and the call will be forwarded to the after hours nurse triage system. You will be called back as soon as possible.
If it is urgent, please tell the person that it is urgent. If your call has not been returned in 1/2 hour, please call back. If it is a true emergency and there is not time to call, we will understand, but please make every effort to call first. If you go to the emergency room with a non-emergency, we will view that as a choice to see the emergency room physician.

Please remember that the doctor is available after hours only for medical emergencies. Most medical problems can be addressed during our extended regular office hours. No refills of prescriptions will be called in after hours or on weekends.
