Billing & Insurance

Suburban Pediatrics accepts most major insurance carriers. The office staff will gladly help you with your insurance coverage however, it is your insurance and you need to be as knowledgeable about it as possible. We cannot possibly know all the details of every insurance policy. On your first visit, tell us what coverage you have. If you change insurance companies or join another employer's plan, please be sure to let our insurance department know. For insurances with which we are not contracted, you will be given a copy of services and charges to file with your insurance claim form. If you need assistance with your claim form we will be glad to assist you. However, always remember, it's your insurance contract, so we look to you for your payment, not your insurance company.

Fees
Payment is to be made at the time services are rendered, unless arrangements have been approved in advance by our staff. This reduces billing costs, which helps us hold down the cost of medical care for you. For your convenience we do accept cash, checks, MasterCard, American Express, Visa or Discover. We will be happy to bill you for services rendered in the hospital, major office services, diagnostic tests, and evaluations. When credit is extended, you will get a statement once a month. We request full payment within 30 days. Returned checks will be subject to an additional fee of $25.00 per check. We know emergencies arise and cannot be helped. Please communicate these to us and we will try to work out something that is beneficial to everyone.

Insurance
Suburban Pediatrics accepts most private insurance companies. Please remember to bring your insurance cards to each visit so we may file your insurance properly. If you have questions concerning insurance, please call our insurance office at 704-784-1831 from 8AM-5PM, Monday-Friday.

Medicaid
If your health insurance is provided through Medicaid, you will be asked to show your Medicaid Card at each visit. As you're aware, Medicaid eligibility is determined on a monthly basis. In some cases, the situation changes each month, so it's important that we have updated and current information for each visit. Well-child checks without a Medicaid card will be rescheduled.

Note: Suburban Pediatrics at Kannapolis accepts only Medicaid recipients that are newborns in Cabarrus County. Suburban Pediatrics at Davidson accepts Medicaid recipients between the ages of 0-18 in Cabarrus County only.
